Where are you from? Blitar, Java.
What do you think about this R.O.L.E program and how did you get the opportunity?
R.O.L.E is like a dream school. I cannot be proud about my educational background, honestly. I only graduated from elementary school, but with R.O.L.E I now feel confident about myself. My friend told me about it and I am now studying basic F&B skills, English, gardening and cooking at R.O.L.E ‘s training center.
What gets you excited about being a R.O.L.E student? And what makes you nervous?
The best thing about R.O.L.E is that it connects students to the most established working place. Like in my case, it opens up a channel to train at
AYANA! At the same time, I keep worrying if I am not competent enough for AYANA. Luckily all the trainers here are really nice and supportive.
Has a career in the hotel industry always been your passion? If so, in which area specifically?
Funny thing is, I only started dreaming about it when I moved to Bali a few years ago. When I see people working in great hotels, I envy them. And now that I am learning so much at R.O.L.E and at AYANA, I can see that this is a brand new world for me. I even told my relatives in my village about AYANA, how amazing the place is, how talented and supportive the people are.
What is your message to friends?
Do not be afraid of failing. Be afraid of not trying.
What do you want to achieve?
To work at AYANA. And if possible, at AYANA’s Kids Club as I love working with children.
