“Confidence is gained by daily practice.” Yuyun Sri Wahyuni – ROLE Models culinary trainee at Dava Kitchen.
Where are you from? Banyuwangi, Java.
What do you think about this R.O.L.E program and how did you get the opportunity?
R.O.L.E is a place where my dreams have started to become reality. I worked in a small laundry service before and one day, I decided that I had to do something more. So when a friend told me about R.O.L.E’s training center in Nusa Dua, I enrolled immediately.
What gets you excited about being a R.O.L.E student? And what makes you nervous?
I am loving the lessons, especially English, cooking and basic working skills. The tutors are really nice and foremost…the opportunity to train at AYANA! At the same time, I am nervous to be at AYANA too since this is a very big property.
Has a career in the hotel industry always been your passion? If so, in which area specifically?
Truth is, I want to work in a hotel because I know that is the best place for me to practice my English. I love it. I am not good at it yet but I am getting there. So any department in the hotel would suit me.
What is your message to friends?
Be confident in every single thing. No matter how scary the competition might look. And I thank R.O.L.E for helping me to gain my confidence with their program.
What do you want to achieve?
I want to open my own warung or maybe my own laundry service. However…that can wait, if AYANA hires me as a part of their team
